I grew up in Walnut Creek, California and graduated from Las Lomas High School. I chose to come to Colorado because I was drawn to the mountains and the chance to explore the scenery of a new state. I love and miss California very much and always look forward to going home on breaks to see my wonderful family. I enjoy hiking our local mountain, Mt. Diablo, with my family, friends, and furry companion, Harvey. When I’m not studying, I enjoy trying out new vegetarian recipes, listening to music, or spending time outside hiking, hammocking, or reading a good book.
I am currently working toward completing my B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Global Environmental Sustainability at Colorado State University. I decided to study chemistry because I love the intellectual challenge of the subject and its broad problem-solving applications. I am interested in environmental chemistry and atmospheric chemistry. I chose to join the Borch research lab to learn more about graduate level research and to further my knowledge of how chemistry can be used to solve environmental issues.
